Collision FAQ's
Everything You Need to Know
Before You Get Your Car Repaired
At Quality Collision, your satisfaction is our number one priority.
We’ve gathered this list of frequently asked questions to help you navigate your repair journey. Have more questions? We’d love to help!
What do I do if I’m involved in an accident?
You should always call the police and make a report, and notify your insurance agent immediately, especially if there are any injuries. If there are no other vehicles involved or you're unsure what to do, call us. We will advise you as to the best course of action to take.
What does a direct repair shop mean?
Quality Collision has a contractual relationship with most major insurance companies in the area. This means that we act as their appraisers. There is no waiting for an adjuster to come by your house and look at your damage. No driving all over town to get 3 estimates. Upon arrival at Quality Collision’s facility, we receive your claims information via a computer download from your insurance company. We take digital photos and upload the estimate back to the company. We can then immediately begin repairs or schedule your vehicle in for repair. NO DELAYS.
Will my insurance company guarantee your work?
Yes. If it's a company that we are under contract with, your repair is automatically guaranteed by Quality Collision and your carrier, regardless of where the car is. If you move to another state, your guarantee moves with you. If the insurance company doesn’t have a lifetime warranty, Quality Collision does. Either way, your covered.
Can you settle claims from outside insurance companies?
Yes. Over the past 16 years we have dealt with every company that writes auto insurance. Our reputation is industry-known. We have contacts at all insurance companies, whether they have a direct repair program or not.
What if I don't have insurance or don't want to go through insurance?
No problem. Our estimators will give you many options on repairing your damage. From cost-cutting salvage parts to aftermarket parts or just a cosmetic repair, whatever the budget, we can prepare an estimate to suite your needs.
Do you offer rental cars?
We have Enterprise Rent-a-car onsite. Upon drop off of your car, will have a vehicle ready to for you. If you have rental coverage, Enterprise will bill your insurance company directly. We also offer a free rental car program for people who do not have coverage. Just let us know.
How long do repairs take?
Our average cycle time on most repairs are 3-4 days. Your repair could be different depending on your damage. We can always give you a close estimate on time frame when the estimate is written.
Can you repair any brand make or model?
We are a high volume shop and have literally repaired thousands of cars over the years. Our techs are schooled in the latest repair techniques of newer model cars. From hybrid technology to aluminum to high strength steels, we are qualified to repair any year, make or model.
What if my car is vandalized?
We can handle any aspect of repair. From interior restoration to convertible top to radio and navigation replacement. We are skilled in checking those unforeseen areas that are normally effected by theft. We try our best to eliminate any surprises down the road.
Why choose Quality Collision over my local dealer?
Although dealers do good work, most send their work out to regular body shops, usually out of town. This means that the dealer gives up control of the repair process and the cycle time. It also adds the risk of damage while being transported from dealership to the body shop. At Quality Collision, the repair estimator that starts your repair process will see it through to the end personally. You will have a one on one relationship with that person, as well as the shop, instead of a dealer service writer. Dealers also do not have the direct repair relationships with insurance companies that we have. This translates to longer repair time and limited guarantee.
Do you pick up and deliver?
Yes. Anywhere in Monroe County, as well as most of St. Clair and St. Louis County.
What payments do you accept?
We accept insurance checks, all major credit and debit cards and cash. We can also arrange to bill your insurance company directly. Payments are not due until your vehicle is released.
